As a result, you don’t have to miss out on all the Halloween fun just because you’re in the process of straightening your teeth. To learn some iconic Halloween costumes with braces, as well as a few deep cuts, read on.
Darla – Finding Nemo
Finding Nemo is jam-packed with iconic characters. One of the most memorable? Darla. This seemingly sweet, pigtailed girl was highly feared by the fishes in the tank, making her one of the “villains” of the story. (After all, she’s introduced with the Psycho music playing in the background!). If you want to dress up as her this Halloween, all you need is a purple sweater, pigtails, some freckles, and a Nemo toy in a plastic bag with water.
Katy Perry – Last Friday Night
Katy Perry has had multiple chart-topping hits throughout her career, “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” being one of them. In this music video, she actually has two outfits, so you can pick whichever one you’re most drawn to! For the first one, all you need is a pink turtleneck sweater, glasses, a jean vest, and some crocs. For the second one, live out your 80’s fantasy with a bright pink crop top, neon green skirt, bright blue eye shadow, and crimped hair.
Sid – Toy Story
Remember Sid, the weird kid in Toy Story who had an affinity for mutilating toys? He’s a great scary Halloween costume! Plus, it’s a super simple outfit to put together. Just get a pair of jeans, place a skull sticker on a black shirt, and carry around a Woody or Buzz Lightyear toy!
Josie Geller – Never Been Kissed
Who isn’t a fan of the 90’s classic Never Been Kissed? Whether you’ve only seen it once or watched it too many times to count, you know about Josie’s prom flashbacks, where her braces-wearing teenage self adorned a pink, puffy prom dress. You can bring this iconic character to life with a thrifted dress, a side pony, and some pink lipstick!
Kip – Napoleon Dynamite
Kip is a braces-wearing hopeless romantic that stole all our hearts when the comedy film Napoleon Dynamite was released. If you want to dress up as this character on October 31st, then get a pair of glasses, a fake mustache, a blue polo, khaki shorts, and a piece of cardboard that says “LaFawnduh.” Oh, and don’t forget to talk about your wrestling “skills” and internet “babes.”
